About Me

Hi! My name is Jessica Diaz, and I’m a Master’s student in Counselling Psychology (MACP) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As I work toward becoming a psychotherapist, I am deeply passionate about specializing in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (OCD).

OCD is a widely misunderstood mental health condition, often leaving individuals feeling isolated due to stigma, shame, and guilt. Unfortunately, the shortage of clinicians trained in OCD treatment contributes to high misdiagnosis rates, creating a major barrier to effective care. My goal is to be part of the solution by providing compassionate, evidence-based support to those struggling with OCD.

In my practice, I also aspire to integrate Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy, a meaning-centered approach that emphasizes finding purpose even in the most difficult circumstances. I am particularly drawn to how this framework helps individuals transform suffering into personal growth, which aligns with my vision as a therapist.

Beyond psychology, my faith in God is a fundamental part of my life. For Christian clients who wish to incorporate faith into therapy, I am open to exploring spirituality as a source of resilience and healing. At the same time, I deeply respect and welcome clients of all backgrounds—regardless of religious beliefs or lack thereof. My aim is to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for everyone.
